Repairing a corrupted PT wav file?

Just finished a session and one the files is corrupted somehow.
I have the wav file and the region is in the timeline but it wont open in anything.
This is on PT8 HD. bwav's
Just one short line of dialog but its the only take!

somehow need to repair its.
any ideas.

Can you manually find the wav file in the Audio Files folder for the session and try playing it in Quicktime Player or something?

I had issues just like this. I had to move all of my sessions off of my RAID array and onto a regular SATA drive, and have had no issues since.

I've had "some" luck with wavsaver.exe if you're running a PC.

thanks, yeah i have the wav file but it won't play in anything so far.
I'll try wavsaver in the morning, tried it in VLC and it kernel panicked!

Been having several weird errors since installing the  8.1.1 update.
Prolly going to 10, can look forward to loads more...
