Someone gave me a Gefell UM92 microphone with a capsule in very bad condition.
Does anyone have experience with replacing the M7 capsule?
It seems that the capsule mount is different from the usual ones. (Usually the capsule is held in place with 3 very small screws).
It is unclear how the capsule is secured in the capsule mount.
Any suggestions?

I've never seen this before so I'm just spitballing here but it almost looks like the diaphragm terminations are socketed...? It's hard to tell from the picture but it looks like you can see the wire sort of turn into a tiny plug and then go into a tiny cylindrical socket. If you pull gently do they come out? Then maybe the back plate mount twists off. Looks like some sort of compact contact system where the insulated base makes contact with the back plate.

I came up with something similar independently for serializing capsules without soldering and desoldering. It looks similar to what I came up with but again, only guessing.

I have changed one of these before many years ago. From what I remember you desolder the rigid conections to the front and back membranes aind then there is a ling screw at the bottom that goes all the way upto the capsule that you unscrewanthen the capsule is glued to the mount so you must gently break that joint. I am in california but I can check when I get home next week. These rigid connectors were originally gold plated hands of a clock :)
