hi i this is my first post i am gabriel from argentina.
I want to know if there is a way to replace the input and/or output transformers in a mic preamp for a solid state design like the balanced driver board for the ssl 9k.

Because in argentina is relly diffulcult to get audio transformers.
Thank you all.

Bienvenido al Laboratorio, Gabriel.

You know, there's a guy in Brazil that makes very good audio transformers, according to some of our friends... Perhaps these would be easier for you to obtain than, say, transformers from the USA or Europe.

thanks dave for the good info, but before i spend a lot of money buying a couple of transformers i want to biuld a couple of circiuts (all solid state with easily to get parts) to see if a can make them work and later use the proper iron.
i don t want to loose the money if i cant the thing to work.

Thanks.
