I first saw him in "The Nice" in 67, my band was double booked to back them, but we got front row seats as compensation.  Absolutely amazing performance rocking his Hammond organ about to get the reverb springs crashing.

I recall seeing EL&P perform a concert in the Esplande half shell on the Charles river in Boston. That venue was made popular more recently by the Pop's 4th of July show, but back in the 60's we saw rock concerts there. Mostly local Boston bands but I recall seeing EL&P there one time.
