Wow. Sad news. Looks like composer/lyricist/playwright Leslie Bricusse passed away today.
Some years ago, a local community theater started producing the Xmas musical Scrooge, and I was head tech on the project. I did it for a few years and then someone else took over. The show was so popular with the local community that it lasted for more than 3 decades.
I have so many fond memories of those shows, and the music associated with them, I can't even tell you.
And then there's the music in Willy Wonka. OMG. Legend.
