Hi all,
looking into the options for stepped switches has my head spinning.
Looking into right angle PCB options and i'm not finding much.

Wanted to ask a question about how many amps/milliamps a switch should be rated for.
It's for a Quad8 type project that will have +/-28vdc.
The signal path will have a mic preamp stage and a gain stage in the EQ.

Also are there options out there besides the
Digikey standards(i'm in the USA)

They have Greyhill/CTS/Electroswitch and they might fit the bill,
but was wondering what else is out there?
(looked at mouser, did a google search....)
thanks

Did you look at cheapo Alpha rotary switches? http://www.mouser.com/catalog/625/1259.pdf

I don't think current handling is an issue, there is a decent amount of metal there. Proably more metal than in your wires. Voltage is usually the concern with switches, but not in this case.

Wait to see what someone else here says.

Good luck,
William

thanks, no i didn't notice them.
they do seem to be the bottom of the barrel.
i'm left with the impression i can get whatever i need from Greyhill if i'm willing to wait, i just thought maybe there was somewhere that stocked more than digikey or mouser.
