This is the RS124 Schemo posted by Rotheu. Can someone explain the neon light/switch circuit?

Dc can't pass from the power supply to the sidechain, and can't pass from the sidechain to the neon/psu. When the compression is engaged and DC swings, won't the light brightness pulse? What is the point of this?

Is this what Chandler refers to as the SuperFuse Mode?

AFAIK, yes. There is a jewel light as "on" indicator on the frontplate, independent from the balance oscillator.
