Second guessing my repair - please comment

This amp belongs to someone else, not mine so I hesitate to give it back if it seems to not be safe. The original transformer not available, this was the closest sub I could find. I am a little concerned about the terminals not being inside the chassis. Does this break any UL or safety requirements? My second choice is to cut a hole in the chassis to place the terminals inside but this amp isn't worth the work, TBH.

There is a little exposure on the terminals that I can cover to completely insulate the wires but I would appreciate a second opinion before I proceed.

Any leads with mains voltage need to be double insulated. That looks like a good start.

I would be tempted to find a metal box/cover that could encase the transformer. Grounding that metal box/cover to the chassis is even safer.

Or even plastic, just something to make sure that if someone is trying to pick something up underneath the amp there is no way you could brush against any live wiring.
