Shelving EQ schematics?

Hi there, I'm a newbie and starting my first DIY project.
I'd like to build a simple hi-shelf + lo-shelf EQ and am looking for some basic schematics and/or readings to get me on track. In particular, I'd like to learn how to tune the slope and the +3dB frequency. I am envisioning a very subtle slope.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?
