No auctions anymore. Damn. But when they are moving there would be loads of stuff!! They have some old Neumann desks.

They didnt make a lot of equipment, but they have been on loads of development projects in the past.

Nope, DR don't even sell old or used stuff anymore, only large stuff like consoles.

I was a regular costumer in Ole Priess's shop underneath "tv-byen" untill they closed that. Now everything is just scrapped. It hurts bad to think of that.

As far as I know its not scrapped, but is ending in the hands of some employees. Thats how i got the speakers.
But there is not loads of stuff currently, because they are waiting for the big move... Its always a good idea to do some container diving down in the Julius Thomsen area. I have found some pretty nice stuff.

Yeah, I heard that the nice stuff ends up in the employees hands.. Happens at TV2 also, makes me feel really great 'bout not paying license

Do you have any DR produced stuff, Jakob?

Tell me about your dumbster finds Mikkel!

I luv dumbster finds :green:

yes, I brought a whole lot of modules home from there - some NTP, and a lot of their own brand. It's all full of Jørgen Schou transformers - the best iron that I have ever worked with. Also a lot of test equipment like decade inductor, distortion analyzer, B&K micamp, oscilloscope etc..

Julius Thomsens plads, omkring indgangen til Koncertsalen.
I have found over the last 5 years:
4 different moog a like filtres. skumle oscillators(2 x A3 size PCB each), Ringmodulators, Wierd Compressors (Handbuild strange working).

Strange place!!

Arrrghhh!   :?

Yeah, I got some JS trannies from DR too. Whatever happened to him? Anything you feel like dumping Jakob? :green: You gotta B&K 2603 too?

Damn Mikkel, sometimes I wish I still lived in Kbh. I use to find all kindsa crazy things in the dumpster at my yard..

With all the recycling I've done I'm garanteed a place in heaven

NTP compressors. Hmm! Let me have a look in my scrap box for equipment I dont like.... :green:

Maybe we could arrange some support from enviroment activist groups.

B&K 2603 - yes, that's the one

I actually got a pair of NTP179-160's from a film company (Nordisk Film) - for free! Why? Because the engeineer's didn't like them for their small front panel... ..they were about to throw them out..!

He, I'm thinking about starting a 2603 appriciation site

Yeah, I've had too many 'pros' (stuck up ol' farts, really) point fingers at my gear because it does not conform to 19". I ******' hate 19" black boxes

A proper studio should look like the inside of 'Das Boot' :green:

I found a really nice small DR custom console, full of JS trannies, in the dumpster. Later I found out that it was a local radio that had bought a cheapass Soundcraft to replace it. They didn't even think about selling it, 'cause who'd want that ol' junk?? They thought it had too many odd knobs and modules.. ohh, like discerte Class A preamps and a cool M/S matrix? Geez..

I got that when you posted at TapeOp  I got several different 2603 schematics, including ones with two or three more tubes, interested? I need 'em scanned though

Ahh! können wir bitte ein bild auf deiner "das Boot" studio sehen?

My studio looks like an old telephone central. Too many cables.

I have no studio anymore

Those meters are *****.. I'll trade you for some LEDs..

I dunno, what brand my meters are. I found the box in the dumpster. It was a tube regulated constant voltage thing.. with a motor driving a variac  Now it's a walwart for my preamp..

They look really nice those meters.. lucky you!
