simple pad with stereo pots?

hey

i have a bunch of 10k alps stereo pots (the nice ones). Is it ok to put them in front of my converter inputs (which have a 10k input impedance) as pads? i like to drive my gear a little harder sometimes.... but would my impedance chance somehow of will these play nicey with my 10k inputs?

They should be OK. If your converter has a low output impedance then the 10K pot will look like a 2500 ohms source worst case so it will drive the 10K OK. Just make sure the lead from pot to 10K input is kept short.
