I got this Sinbosen U87 type microphone from Alibaba. It did not have the 3 switches they promised in the product description and our chat, so they gave me my money back. This is the “$113” version that ships to US for about $150 total. (Would have been great with switches!)

i don’t need this for a project, and rather than tear it down for photo photos, I would like to offer it here for TRADE.

i would like a nice U47 type microphone body/shell in exchange. W/ Switches?

i also have for TRADE one of Dieter’s upgrades for the Digital-Tech TSR-24 to software 2.0 (TSR-24s). Also includes 20Mhz chip to further upgrades. (I also have a TSR-24s if anyone is interested!)

I want something much simpler for my studio, but it does many things!

Other things I like for trade:
Lomo mixer bits, really nice oddball vintage stereo faders from East Germany, cool switches and attenuators, small 500 racks…

The Sinbun U87 comes in a vaguely “Harley Davidson” style box, with decorative wooden case and shock mount (inferior to illustrations).

it’s heavy, cardioid and probably has a better than average capsule, based on other tear downs.
It appears to have a HD logo under the Sinbosen ribbon taped to the body. I haven’t looked!

let me know if you have any questions or want more photos.

I will try to find the tear down I saw online.
I figured it was best I didn't get my shaky hands on my tiny screwdrivers and make it any less good for anyone. interested.
Has a transformer!
Maybe in a little bit if we all get too curious?

Be aware that this item appears to use Neumann's protected design elements and may get confiscated if shipped internationally.
someone should collect a bunch of evidence of their employees saying the headbasket design is functional and report them for trademark fraud tbh. they've been up to this shit for way too long. they're breaking the law 100% using their registered design as a de-facto patent.

You can buy a version with functional switches for $654. Full on Harley.
some people say they are ok for?
Their defense was I bought the wrong one. My defense was the screenshotted conversation with their customer rep. about the model that seemed too good to be true.

Maybe see if the inspectors at Neumann want it back Tim ,

The Trade button wasnt long appearing , looks way better than For Sale.
