anyone know of a place where i can find SIP8 5532 op amps? looked on mouser and digikey, nothing (well mouser doesnt have any in stock and doubt they will again). need about 25 of them suckers for a mixer mod.

would prefer them but would also be open to recommendations, they are replacing some 4458's out of a yamaha 2404 II, this is for the master section and want something pretty neutral but could be interested in something more aggressive... main goal is just to drop the overall noise level with some better amps and a slight recap.

ebay has them for $2 a piece with $4 shipping. at that price i may as well go with a burr brown or something

Is this not the right thing?:

SIP8 referrs to the package style.

THAT VCA's are SIP8.
Standard 5532 or 5534's are DIP8.
What you have linked are SOP8 (I think).

This is a SIP8 package:

might have to end up with something like this although the price is kinda high just for some 5532's. also space may be too tight for them, but definitely thanks for the heads up!

anyone ever use this company before? im not afraid to go out of the US for parts  ;)

Is it for a SIP8 (NJM5532L) or SIP9 (NJM5532S) footprint ?

ahh wow you really saved me. i just assumed it was a SIP8 but really it was a SIP9. I will try a fix like you have in that other thread, but due to close proximity and height restrictions im not sure it is feasible. a SIP8 will work in a SIP9 though wont it? you just have to install it the correct way. and im finding even less info and supplies for a NJM5532S...

I use this company regularly for large (10k pieces) or small orders (5 off). They are excellent. Call them, they have more in stock than can be seen on their site.

yepp (into pins 2-9, if the footprint-pin9 is delivering pos.supply voltage, else into footprint-pins 1-8 with chip reversed).
