Hi,
I'm looking for diy project about ltc time code Generator / Reader.
Has anyone of you already have it ?
Thanks for your help.
Cheers
Pascal

That's a major undertaking

For generation of SMPTE timecode, simply store it (or them, if you need different rates) on a CD, and dump to tape as needed. Active generation was only necessary before we had xtal-precision audio storage

Reading is much more complex - at least if you want to use the count for anything precise. What are you trying to achieve?

I have developed a MTC reader, but that is a bit different.
I use it as a remote time display for my DAW.
(It is combined with a recording lamp driver.)
I did not include the frames and hours, because I don't need that information, but it could be done.
Here is a demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0h7rS3LfZE

You want something like this ic.

And there may be others, I looked at this a long time ago.
Google is your friend!
