Thanks for the link JR, that Heathkit mod sounds great, do you still have it or did you dump it?

It hit the curb for junk pickup with a lot of my legacy test gear that either stopped working or was terminally obsolete.

Back in the day building heathkit test equipment allowed me to assemble a decent test bench on a budget.

I checked this link and it must be said that the author of the Thread focused on speaker distortion rather than electronic distortion, he even mentions that electronic distortion is percieved very differently from speaker dist.
