Sony c48 half faulty

All other patterns work quietly, but the figure 8! I also noticed the figure indicator lamps are bright at the beginning and gets dim later.
Any clue?

Clean the switches? Try bypassing the switch by hardwiring it in fig8 position to troubleshoot. It's incredible mic, i had it recently for repair. C800 capsule in u87 kind of circuit. Sounds incredible.
