Hey guys,

I reorganized the 16 group/tape return meters of this desk, and there's two 4 pin connectors and a 6 pin connector per 8 meter section - the two 4 pins are for the 8 channel meter feeds, and the 6 pin appears to be for power.  On the master board in the rear section, there are actually 4 connectors for what "looks" like power to me.  I tried to take note of which one went where but got confused...I have all the docs, but I can't tell if those four 5 pin connectors are in fact all identical.  Does anyone who's worked on a 600 know?  There's no images of that board in the manuals, and the silkscreen is covered by the connector so it's impossible to read.

Any help much appreciated!
Thanks,
Sig

Yup, know the desk reasonably well.......

Unless someone has radically re-worked my designs, the power connector is a 6-pin. All 6-pin power connectors on the meter distribution board have the same pin-out. These are easily identifiable as they have resistor & electrolytic decoupling on the out-going power rails.

Gareth.

You rock!!  That's what I needed know!

Why is there 4 of these 6 pin connectors?  As far as I know, there were only 2 x 8 channel meter versions of these desks made, no?

Thanks man!
Sig
