Hi Diko
Not sure if this is going to be relevant, but thought that you may be interested to know that I have just recently had to repair a faulty CPS 750.
Initially the main fuse was blown. I eventually found a fault in the cable connecting the PSU to the desk. I cut off the offending end )fortunately the fault was close to one of the end connectors) and re-terminated the cable.
The next problem only showed up under load i.e. when the supply was put under load, the 17V rails would collapse. This turned out to be a fault on the voltage regulators - I ended up replacing both positive and negative rail regulators in the 17V supply. The original components are now obsolete so I replaced with LM338 's - this required some circuit re-design, but I am happy to say that all is now back up to spec.
