Hey guys!

I’m modifying my Soundcraft Ghost console and I have run into some troubles with the upgraded master section which is somehow affecting my group modules. I have replaced all the stock op amps with BB OPA2134 and AD OP275, and all the electrolytic caps with panasonic FM.

The console is powering up ok but when I’m running stereo signal through the channel strips into groups and then the master module I’m losing almost all my right channels on the groups, basically no signal at all. Group 1&2 run ok and the right channels from 3, 5 and 7 also, the problem is with the 4,6 and 8.

Another odd things happens when selecting the group routing on the channel strips, when the group 3/4 switch is pressed in the signal appears on the group 1/2.

I have also noticed that the signals sometimes re-appears on the group module, mostly when I overload the group module, however it is then distorted.

I have tested the console swapping the master module for stock version and the problem disappears.

Looking at the schematics I can’t figure out how would the master module affect the routing of channels into groups.

I’m yet to test the modules on the bench however I would like to see if anyone has any ideas of where I could start looking.

I have inspected all the soldering and all seems to be good, I have lifted a couple of traces but they were fixed.

I’m attaching the block diagram of the console and the schematic if someone would like to have a look.

Thanks for your time and I’m looking forward to hear any opinions.
