Hello,

Does anyone know where this microphone body is sourced from?
http://www.broadcastradio.com/audio-equipment/microphones/img-stageline-emc170-large-diaphragm-condenser-microphone/
It looks to be used by Sterling sound and a few others.  I like the look, for a donor body

From China.
Buy stage line if you like it.
Try thomann offer for microphones or look ebay for used.

Kidvybes would know within one second, but unfortunately he passed away recently.

Eventually we'll find out.
But it will take a little longer than one second.

Im new to this board/hobby but yes Ive seen his name around. Sorry to hear it!

China is pretty big.  And many microphone manufacturers in China do most of its business as OEM providers. Even if you identify the exact manufacturer and find the microphone on their website chances are you can't buy the mic, if you are not placing an order of 100+ items.

As the Guys above said.
You will not find this type of body without circuity or you will order few houndreds (one houndred for chinese factory is like one capacitor for you :) )
Buy stage line, used are cheap as hell, new aren't also pricey.

Yes I understand about the MOQs if you order OEM parts only.
Thanks !

Check out 'Chungers' website. Chunger is a long time member of GroupDIY and he has done a great job sourcing mic bodies from China. Chunger is one of the good guys!

Search for BM800 microphone. You'll find very cheap options with shipping. The mic body is rather small (i bought one just to see if i can do something with)

Hi Julien, thanks for helping. No its not the BM800. I've already looked into a ton of mics and see many similarities.
But the one in my picture is definately a higher quality, size and interior chassis.

Don't overvalue this microphone body.
Even if looks better due to finish in mat it doesn't mean it will be better quality.
Probably it's made from metal alloy.
Densely woven mesh with thick paint acoustically isn't good also.
