Theres a kind of disease has crept into modern politics due to the influence of social media ,
Yesterday the 39th amendment to the Irish constitution failed by a 2:1 margin on both counts ,
The only constituencies in the country where the vote carried were the posh leafy suburbs on the southside of Dublin city ,
everywhere else in the country came out with a very resounding 'NO' vote .

It wasnt only the government that supported the yes vote , but also the opposition including Sinn fein ,
Its seems to be seen to be fighting for equality on social media is the priority for public representatives , so much so that they no longer effectively gauge the public mood of the people who voted them in .

When our leader Mr Varadkar made a public appearance today to announce his amendment was a total failure he had that 'just got my ass smacked' look on his face again ,
