I nicked this from gearslutz.....

I use all the newer replacements when doing an AMEK console or say a DAV BG-1 preamp that uses the BB INA217. The that 1510 is better, the SSM AD 2019 is the best performer, very smooth, no BB hf hype, get 'um from Digi-Key.

I haven't spent a great deal of time with the 2019 and the 1510 to realy split them apart

these chips are what they are

I'm still comfortable with the 2017 and I guess that's cos I'm so used to it ... it can be use to an advantage (within degrees)
and
if I have a better Mic-pre near by, I'll use it

all of the above is true
but I will add that
even though the application notes are out there
and it's not that hard to get good results
... I have seen some strange implementations of these chips.

and the 1510 IS amazing. Much better than BB's offerings.

I thought there'd be a fly's wing in it to be honest.......... Nice to hear a different opinion.
