Well, one wonders why people continue to use mic preamps.

Use the sound imprint made by this module and make gain in the DAW. It´s better and more comfortable and safer.

I'm going to be going to tear down what I'm using and make a mic amp using the I/O transformers and OA10 op amps out of it. According to the Neumann datasheet, it will use just a few components and deliver an incredible 60dB of gain.

This way I can also use the other output transformer for something else.

The circuit shown does not provide very good noise performance. 4.5 uV rms is nearly 6 dB Noise Figure, or -124 dBu. It's not too bad either, and certainly workable in most common situations, though.
I guess nit could benefit using an input xfmr with a higher ratio, like 1:4.

The 70’s Neumann prefix designation for a summing amp was OSV (IIRC). 930.xxx is a very common prefix for their schematics.
