Hey every one!

I have a weird one here, I have an re27 that was passing audio but not passing any lower frequencies.
So naturally I open her up and discover a capacitor in two pieces. while trying to find out the value of the cap, further inspection seems as if the resistor values seem a little off from the data sheet given by electro voice  the values given from the data sheet are : 180 ohms, 470ohms, and 360 ohms but mine appear to be 8.2k, 240, 360 and 390 why is there an extra resistor and why would the values be so different? am I missing something,  bad day at the factory?
below you will find a picture of the board.

Thanks!

That's the old circuit, you'll have to find an original datasheet to get the proper schematic.  (even then it might not be correct)

Are you positive 8.2k is not really an inductor??

Losing low end likely is a result of the capsule.

You can plot frequency vs amplitude of the pcb and see if it's sucking out your low end.

Less likely is a switch has failed closed, but perhaps one of the bass rolloff switches is stuck closed.  Easily rule out the capsule by hardwiring the leads from the capsule to XLR and listen to see if your low end is back, if not, new capsule.
