while it is a some truth mixed with myth,  composer Igor Stravinsky did his own take on the united states national anthem and it was performed by the Boston Symphony, once. Apparently it shocked the crowd so much that they called the police who told him it was against the law to change the national anthem. So he removed it from the second set and it was not performed for some time.
Obviously in 2018 not such a big deal to do ones own interpretation.

I happen to like his take and new harmonies  on the song....

Add 9, m9, sus2!  Not sure how I feel about the vagueness of the melody notes around :49 (gallantly).
Not nearly as regal. Certainly more tension. Also the end high note (the word free!) feels...contested, striven. =D
Kinda brilliant and dangerous of him!

Thanks Pucho

John WIlliams does the same thing at the high note, but quickly resolves it as 'successful'. A nod to Stravinsky?
