TDA2030 amp/compressor

Hello, colleagues!

What You thins about - to build and optocompressor, usind TDA2030 IC?
I've desugned this scheme basicly for small intercom speaker system. But - maybe - it sould be useful in hobby audio?

Yess. With soft limiting.

What did you use for R2, the LDR? Presumably most of the compressor characteristics depend on this.

Nothing wrong - those will do fine. For stereo you'll need to select heavily though - it's hard to find two that are even approximately the same. Been there, tried that...

Not only that, but your component REF DES silkscreens aren't going to do you any good, once you place a component over them. Silkscreen REF DES's are typically placed -- OUTSIDE -- of the component outline silkscreen. It's a good habit to get into.

the two electrolytic capacitors is a "via". If so,
what for??? There is no corresponding track on
the other layer. In addition and similar to the
above scenarios, the two adjoining pads on both
of the electrolytic capacitors and the track running
right next to the edge of the PCB, could all be a
"Copper-Pour" area instead of how you have this.

All's easy. There are in some places multiple holes to use capacitors (and other parts) of different sizes
