Hello,

Is Telefunken VS72k module familiar for anyone.
I believe that it's pre-amp module.
There is two bottons on face, 0-6-18dB switch and potentiometer from 0 to 12.
What is the quality of those, is it better to use enclosures to some Telefunken clone project than save those.

Thanks, but unfortunately this mysterious module is VS72k, not V672.
So far I haven't seen any VS** type of modules on internet.
Design is transistor based.

Where did you buy it? Can you post a picture? It can be a special version of some other product that we recognice from picture.

A lot of iron. Could be some sort of line driver/equalizer from late 60's or early 70's.

Find input and output terminals and measure amplification and frequency response. Power supply is most likely 24V.

It's seems that VS72k is some kind of preamp module?

I briefly test one of the modules and I use +24V power supply what seems to be common for transistor based modules.

Preliminary results:
Input 50mV (Input pins are 1 and 2 as in most of the transistor based modules)
Output about 1V (pins 20/21, lines came from transformer) Measured without load.
Output about 1.5V (pins 22/23, lines came from another transformer, through 100ohm resistors) Measured without load.
Pin 19 seems to be feedpoint for output transformers and one possible output, connected through 1000uF capacitor to the amplifier stage.

Frequency response seems to be really flat in audio band.

Picture from output circuit: http://www.swradio.net/tech/tab_vs72k_output_a.pdf

From the front panel controls and indications, it is clearly a line amp.
Construction (internal cabling) doesn't seem to be up to Telefunken standards. Looks to me like a purpose-built unit.
