Hi everyone,

I am new here. I have been reading a lot of post here for some time.

I am total new to building anything like this. I am handy and have done some easy fixes.

I want to start to build my own out board gear for my little studio . I think it would be fun and a good learning experience.

I want to build a compressor for recording . Not something to expensive . Maybe a kit? I don’t no where to start . Any help would be greatly appreciate.

There are quite a few compressor project around here - but one of the most widespread (and thus best documented regarding possible errors) is the GSSL stereo compressor. I've seen it used with good results for vocal and bass guitar recording
