Found a used 87iii. $125. Any thoughts on this meter. Good/bad. Price seems right. I see it’s a 4000 count and 20000 count with the special hold function.

Got the meter. Works great. Has fist out for the 400 milliamperes current side but should last me a long time.

I never met a Fluke I didnt make friends with ,

I picked up a well used (beat to shit )T5-600 , the original probe tips were vapourised ,
I fitted CAT III 600v croc on black and 1000v probe tip on the red wire ,
AD/DC range is auto ,Low volts range is single digit but at least you know your safe probing around inside even equipment in a dangerous condition . Continuity buzz is fast too,

Also has current measurement via transformer ,
got me to thinking, a set of tube base adapters with turns of insulated copper to make your sense resistance in the cathode , no need to hack my current clamp to bits either ,

The 187 I almost never use with standard multimeter probes anymore ,its way to noisey , its either XLR to+/-or short screened cable with probe clips via BNC adapter .
