TL Audio C1 Output level

Hello, I was hoping someone could help me to understand how the switch that selects the output level on this compressor works. I believe it's on page 6 of 7 or as in the pdf, page 7. I know it affects the level out of the xlr outputs as well so it's not bypassing the output module, but I was unsure of how it is exactly doing the level reduction. I hope I was clear. Thanks!

If you set the output level to +4dbu you're actually bypassing the resistor. If you switch to -10dbu the resistor is in circuit, forming a voltage divider with the 10k tied to ground.
