Why doesn't Jensen let you have a punchcard like Starbucks? Everytime you buy a trafo you get a tick on it and after 10 you get one free. I'm fixing to buy several trafos for some DIs, seems like the best I can do is approx $60. Any suggestions? Favorites?

Which DI are you building?

What are you going to DI? Line level keyboard, or high imp. guitar pickup?

We have to know these things in order to help.

Otherwise, it's like a crossword puzzle with a clue for 3 across: the - - -.

:guinness:

I'm wanting to DI some guitar inputs for mic preamps. I've got some old Neumann PV 76's and they have so many darn transformers in them that I just figgured I had to add a couple more to the box. But which ones? It would be nice to use something big and heavy, but I also would like to be able to get them all at once rather than source them here and there.
Thanks

I still don't understand. What kind of x-formers are in the Nuemann?
Are you building active or passive DI?
:?

Neumann has input trafo, a trafo linked to a variable pad, a trafo linked to a big inductor for a hi pass and a split bobbin output. I'm probably just going to do a passive di to make the whole thing a bit more guitar friendly.
Thanks
Paul
