I finally found the time to make an English version. Actually my girlfrind Linda did two of the three pages so special thanks to here.
This website was made 1 1/2 year ago. At that time I was completely new to electronics. Right now I still know next to nothing but already I would have done things a little different as discribed on the website.
Because this is a "newbie" website I leave everything as I put it down at the time of making my first DIY project.

Look here... (new link, more bandwidth...)

YOu beat me to it. I did the online translator but was correcting it for errors. Far to often they translate word for word as opposed to the real meaning.
but cool... :thumb: :guinness:

Good Lord that's the best site I have ever seen on a DIY project.
It must have taken a lot of effort. Thanks!

Since I'm a dufus, can you explain the extra side chain thing? Too lazy to look at the thread.

Radiance,

Thanks for your site, I think it is great. Soon I'll be starting my SSL, so it great to read over your thoughts and look at all the pretty pictures.

Cheers

Matt

The links to Kev's site are now dead
The old Kev GSSL page may end up at Jakob's site
... but generally you should just cross like your stuff to the Gyraf page

good work
How do you use one of those hole punches?
Basicly, you drill a pilot hole, put the bolt thru and tighten it until the punch cuts thru the steel, leaving a very nice round hole the size of the punch....

Hi Radiance,

thank you very much for the SSL-pages!
& hartelijk dank voor de Nederlandse versie! :thumb:
Als het met deze pagina's niet lukt dan denk ik echt dat ik een andere hobby moet ambiëren :green:

Unfortunately you've reached the max datatransfer, so I'll try again in a few days/weeks and download to my PC to avoid multiple datastreams.

Brilliant things... - you tighten it with an allan key provide with the punch..
Try and get them in the sizes of the XLR conenctors..
I have a 25mm one for the normal size Nuetriks (D?) .. but I think the size of those is actually 24.5mm
So if you mount the Connectors from the back (i.e. with nor plate showing) there is a small 2.5mm gap around

Great web site... (the blue caps from Sifam are stock items as are the Grey knobs - you can buy in 10 unit bags direct from Sifam as long as you spend more than £50.. - it's only the custom colours that are 1,000 unit min)

Great web site..

A word of warning....

Make sure you get a good quality punch. I bought a 25mm Raaco Expert one and
I?ve drilled a good few holes with it and it looks brand new, has all it?s
teeth and is still as sharp as the day I bought it.

Yesterday I bought a 24mm one made by a local co that was half the price...

I?ve drilled only 2 holes into 1,5mm steel and half the teeth are now
missing or blunt... A BIG waste of money... You win some you loose some I
guess!

Just a word of caution, buy the best one you can afford.

Cheers

Matt

Teeth? mine don't have teeth? are we talking about the same?

Yeah, Greenlee punches...or is that G*R*E*E*N*L*E*E:wink:. The one I've got is 15/16 inches or 23.8MMØ which fits most XLR panel mount jacks perfectly.
