Traynor Reverbmaster - capacitor substitution

Hi Folks -

I'm having trouble sourcing a 125 uF 16 V cap for an amp I'm working on. Nothing close in a reasonably higher voltage either at Mouser or Digikey. I can find a 120 uF 40 V.

Can I substitute this? I mean they're +/- 20% right? So this should be close enough?

100uF or 150uF should do just fine, especially with the standard +/-20% tolerance.

Preferably replace it with the next higher value and not lower.
So 150uf would be it

I work on a lot of Traynors. This isn't a super picky component. Go with 120u or 150u, as others have suggested, and you'll be fine. Higher voltage rating the better based on the footprint.

Those YRM1's are one of my favorites! Enjoy!

120 uf will come in at 125 uf in this meet or beat world of lytics.
by the time it burns in it will be at 130 uf.
