Impossible to figure original caps spec's. Maybe i should give up this project, have respect for high voltage and bad nerves ;)

If i source a new replacement unit, up to spec's, any issues i can get? It is used in a EMT 248 reverb, worried about hiccup's or noise etc.

don't be scared by internet blowhards blinding you with science....

Have you already thrown them away? Or how and why is it impossible?

Regarding esr, modern versus old caps. Have the old left, its Elna's, the type is impossible to find datasheets on.

Assume it's a conventional (not low ESR) capacitor.

Use same value/voltage, and whatever type is easiest to get.

Solved this issue with a NOS Toko MWE 30-11 as replacement for the original LWE. Works like a charm  :) Needed to drill new holes to fit, a little smaller format, but cables fitted etc.
So if someone has same issue it could be good to know.
