Tube Downward expander

Has anyone got a schematic for a tube downward expander. I think the limpander had this topology but no one has the schemo for that one.

Or maybe it does not exist. Excuse my ignorance.

Gates Level Devil - looks like an "upward" expander.

Is there anything out there. I am looking for something that will suppress background room sound excessive reverb etc etc.

use a separate gain section following a phase splitter or a multi-tapped xformer for biasing the first signal tube?
