It's alive and this might be one of my very best. China K47 dual. How is that even possible. I'll caĺl it luck, everything came together I guess?

Here is a freestyle I did after overcoming a notorius hum the mic exhibited at first turn on. I had to lift the grid resistor to make it behave. This is a dirty track with dirty lyrics and cracking voice, lol. The mic is super quiet. This is $27 aliexress K47 and active loaded 5702WB and I'm hitting it hard to see what she can do. I may remove this later. Zero processing just a pinch of reverb.

Nothing with myself. I keep meaning to do it but...
The solidstate I finished yesterday is no slouch either. That one has a single side K47. Very realistic sounding and I notice how it captures the background in a vivid way. I used an organic capacitor (47uF) to bypass the source, feedback is handled by a 10pF between the drain and gate. The addition of the source follower fixes a number of issues including crappy lo end and low output level. I'm about to start my final two mics, solid state and tube respectively. The tube mic will be active loaded with the U67 type transformer.

I feel like I could knock this one out tonight, but I'm taking a break. Tomorrow is another day. I'm going with a JAN 6206 this time. I like trying different pencil tubes. They say the life span is short but I have replacement tubes to last me for years upon years.

They are built like a tank. They hardly get warm. The sound is all there too. Now the knobs on the compressor are no good. They started falling apart as soon as I touched them literally. I kid you not. So I ordered a set of aluminum ones when I knew my unit was shipped based on the complaint I saw online about them.

I think my knobs are sexier than the cheapo stuff it came with. I didn't want the high shoulder type knobs I see some people going with.

Above the Behringers is my saturator. All these units get inserted in the 2 buss depending on what I'm going for sonically.

Better look. We are running Russian 6H6p at 20ma per tube and no global feedback, only unbypased cathodes. I think the Russian pio caps help with the character of this bad boy.

Nice work. Input & output line transformers (which brand ?) 15uF coupling tube output ??? Wow...

You didn't say anything about your "tube active load"... how do you set that ?
