Hi everyone,

I ought to know this I guess, but I don't. Are 12AU7, 12AU7A, and 12AU7WA all interchangeable? It's for this Leslie 122A that's making my life miserable. There are two 12AU7As, one for the preamp and one for the speed control relay. I think the relay tube might be my problem and I just have 12AU7s and 12AU7WAs. Will there be a problem?

Thanks,

If I remember right, the A version warms up a little slower. I think either version is good for your test.
Edit: I looked it up, "A" version has cathode protection. Either one you have will work fine. I assume you checked the relay already?

Thanks guys. I haven't checked the relay for two reasons. First of all, I can't stop the sessions to monkey with the Leslie, and second I have no idea where the relay is exactly. If swapping the tube doesn't work I'll have to wait til next week to take the amp out. It's really frustrating - it was sounding great.
