Turret Boards For Beginners?

I've never worked with a turret board before. Can someone explain what V3 means? Does this mean the 3rd group of pins from the right?

When it says pin 2, how do I know if this is on the bottom or the top?

There is no such thing as "standard turret board notation". I'm afraid those things can mean whatever the author wants them to...

What are you trying to make?

I'm a beginner and when working with turrets I just look at the schematic and improvise from there. I haven't seen any one good way to do it, apart from "tight-right".
 
Hmm, maybe Steve can help you if you re-name this thread, or post in the Bloo thread.

My guess is that it has nothing to do with the turret board - V3 probably refers to whatever tube that is on the schematic... but I don't have a kit, so...
