I want to clean 528 switching modules dipping in an ultrasound tank. I’ll then let it dry out. Colorado is a dry climate

What fluid do you recommend? Distilled water?

Goals are cleaning shadow push button switches and AB mod pots. I’ve used spray cleaners and looking for something to last longer, Or just some other methods.

Thanks for your help.

You could end up disolving the lube in the pot bushing , its going to feel bad if that happens ,
Alcohol might also cause damage to the carbon element .

Im not familiar with the unit your talking about , but Id be careful about dunking it in an ultrasonic tank .

I was chief engineer of a 2 room Neve 8038-based facility for 13 years. The worst-performing contact cleaning/enhancing method ever was ultrasonic cleaning. Not to mention that it seemed to take the (quite experienced) maintenance guy weeks to do an entire console. I would not recommend it.
