UTC production codes...

can anyone tell me how to read them?

like CZ25 means?

or I have one that has a DP18 on it

I also have one that has the metal badge (A24) NOS with a code of UTC T-4289 and DPM 34698

Is it used or NOS? They could be numbers for companies they supplied.

the one with the badge is NOS.... never was used... brand spanking new but quite old...

actually that brings up another question

which is older? the light gray or darker gray ones? the ones with red printing, white printing or the badge? also some have the stamped in UTC logo on the end of em...

can anyone clear up the hierarchy of these styles?

Sand cast in black with badges
Then they went to machined with badges.
Grey came then I think.
Then came logo tops with red screen.
The last of those were screened TRW.

I think?
