VF14 can be use for U47 too....or Im wrong!?
The VF14M was selected by the Neumann factory, for very low noise and very low grid current.
A standard VF14 would work somewhat in a U47, but not up to the Neumann standards.
There is a remote chance that your VF14's would be acceptable. According to reports, only 15% of the tubes tested by Neumann received the "M" seal of approval.

But still doesn't mean that this tubes dont work good in U47 microphone, must be tried in it and Ill know....

But thanks Abbey for info...

We also have many vf14 tubes, and they are usable of course(if not noisy) however the mic will sound differently with almost all tubes. It is subtle but you can hear clearly that one tube is more bassier, the other one is thinner etc...So you need to test all tubes before selling/buying.

Grid current has a similar effect as decreasing the grid leak resistor, which decreases LFresponse and increases noise.
Grid current depends essentially on the amount of residual gaseous molecules in the vacuum.
The manufacturing process was aimed at producing the "best" vacuum, but some bests are better than others.
