Looking at sifam myself, but these are sure cheaper.

I looked at the other link, and almost commented. Should work. The thing that's throwin my is "VU type"

If they'd just said "VU", I'd say, ya, you're good. =)

It looks right from the specs..

Also, the price is a bit higher than the straight DC-types, indicating that there probably is an internal rectifier bridge.

I've got kind of a crazy question. So if a VU meter is a true "VU standard" meter, then it would be completely interchangable with other VU standard meters with no changes needed to the circuit, correct?? So a nice Weston, or Simpson, VU would be interchangable with a Sifam, or one of the VU's mentioned above, assuming that the one mentioned above is true VU standard? I realize some may be a little more accurate than others, but they should be interchangable, correct??
