check this auction out, see what's missing (pretty much everything), enjoy the price:

Oh yeah, I'd definitely recommend the SquareTrade 2-year protection plan for an additional $239.99.

should make a nice open and fat sounding 'thwack'.  Even better hitting the inside of a dumpster.

ahhhh, there are no parts left, they stripped them all.  There is no buyer.

OK, I'll digress:

This preamp contains a Union Carbide branded Melcor opamp
Ummm, no.  I have a pile of those which are NOS, they have no high end above 10K.  The are instrumentation op amps.
Very full, very rich with a lot of low end information captured.
Yeah, I bet.

Yeah, I bet.

I like the super specific "general purpose" op amp 6010 and named the 1731 before.

I remember paying something like U$30 for a stereo tube amp for repair, but the tubes were working (roughly) and the output transformers working properly, the supply transformer also but not for the voltage I have here, it was a PACO SA40 and I get it working after rebuilding it with it's tubes and trafos, really nice sounding for 30 bux and some hours of joy.

Some honesty ? " See my other auctions for more top crud "
Curious price too , not true API value and not giving it away either, but ..........
the cool confidence inspiring graphic design .
It seems at some point people either give up or see it as the only way to get ahead,
that you can't seemingly insult the lowest common denominator so it's o.k. to tell em
what they want to hear. If the big guys are doing then why can't the little man get his piece as well
Sad & tiring I say

Digressing further from the same auction I paste this gem:

"Google Melcor AML 27 and the biggest complaint you'll find is that they make guitars sound too much like T. Rex"

. . . . until now

Melcor AML 427

Melcor AML 427

Melcor AML 427

That should do it.
