want slowly raise the DC on a standard PSU design. cosmetic reason :)

John, you are right of course about the square wave.  Again, I only think it is worthy of a micro if including the stutter effect and using it in an art project or non-audio setting.  Otherwise your methods are perfectly suited.

Analog stutter is always better than digital stutter.
