Waterproof connectors for outdoor installation?

Hi!

I'm helping repair an outdoor installation and need some weatherproof multi-pin connectors to carry audio, and also some 12V DC at around 1 amp. The current setup has one 9 pin and one 4 pin cable plugs mating to bulkhead connectors. They look like this...

I don't recognise the existing connectors, but they are corroded and it would be good to replace them with something more weatherproof.

Does anyone have any recommendations for replacements that would stand the test of time over several summers in Yorkshire?

Anything rated to IP44 should be fine.

You might want to check Veam, Link Italy or Ten47 connectors.

IP44 is mostly giving me mains connectors when I search Farnell and Canford. I'll keep looking.

I'd certainly go for more protection than IP44, there are plenty of round industrial connectors which are IP65 or the square Harting stuff.

They look like ITT Cannon 'Trident' range, RS call them 'QM' or very similar.
They also come in a more waterproof version called 'Neptune'.
I think the pins are compatible for both.
They are a pretty good alternative to the expensive metal military types.
Some of the sizes have a couple of fat pins for Current and a load of thin ones for signals.
The extract tools are mercifully cheap compared to some others and you can get away with a fairly generic crimp tool.

You are probably having a hard time searching for IP44 because most stuff is rated higher these days.
IP65 is about as low as it gets, most are IP67.
