I have a strange Furman power conditioner problem but figured it best to post it separate from the other thread?
Here?s my setup: PC and Echo Layla3G plugged into wall outlet; Synth, effects, compressors, preamps, and Vox Tonelab plugged into Furman, which is plugged into same wall outlet; Echo Layla3G and Furman are mounted in the same rack.
Problem is, when playing through the tonelab, I just barely crank up the gain and I get some buzz and a very high pitched feed back sound through it ? doesn?t matter if I?m using speakers or headphones, it?s always there. Also, the same thing happens when I run my guitar through the amp sims in my BOSS VF-1.
In an effort to isolate the problem, I unplugged the Vox from the Furman and plugged it straight into the wall, and the problem went away. Could this be a ground-loop caused by the Layla3G and Furman being in the same rack? Strange thing is that it just recently started doing this.
