Indeed it is but this is nothing to do with matching source and load impedances.

It is a similar concept as you are matching to a noise impedance. I probably should have stated that more clearly.

Most of the people here are not tech experts so I think it is important that those of us who are should make an extra effort to be as precise and unambiguous as possible. I am afraid I am as guilty as anyone on that score.
