Hi,
some years ago I was traveling the US, saw a Radio Shack store and just bought some random stuff.

I bought this small and cheap transformer there that says "Audio Output Transformer"
There's some specs in the back but I can't see a Ratio, maybe I'm not interpreting the specs well, or there's not enough specs.
I also don't know for what uses was it made

I would like to ask you guys what could I do with it?
What use could I give to it?

It could even be for some Lo-Fi duties, or color box, or whatever.
Just would like to find a use for it and would like to know what ideas could you guys have.

Thank you so much

Given the dc resistance of the secondary I would think it is most likely meant to drive a small loudspeaker. It is very reminiscent of the early transistor push pull output transformers used in cheap transistor radios.

Yes Ian, I think you re correct.
I searched more about it, and it seems to be a 1K:8r transformer

Any DIY uses for it besides the original intended use?
Even if it’s a stupid Lofi use, any creative idea?

thanks

Sorry, I missed your first post.

Thank you so much, it's exactly the same transformer RG keen talks about.
Although I already have spare Wah Wah inductors and also don't need another Wah

So might give it another use

Years ago, I used a transformer designed for a "70 Volt" PA distribution...like music in a resturant or paging at the airport.... connected in reverse. Small power amp into the "8 Ohm secondary" then used the other side to light up an EL panel. Interesting.....
