Sin estar yo con intención de reparar canastas de micrófono, ya que me dedico a la herrería de maquinaria agrícola, pero soy muy aficionado al sonido (por eso estoy acá), me parece fantástico tu truco respecto a la soldadura. Estoy escribiendo en español, no porque desconozca el inglés, sino porque mis dotes de redacción en ese idioma son bien escasas. Espero que el traductor de Google haga su trabajo. Saludos y gracias.

¡Bienvenido al foro, Jose! Esta bien, el ingles es mi idioma nativa, y el español es muy dificil para mi. Puedo hablar y escribir un poco español basico y leerlo mejor, pero no entiendo la palabra hablada para salvar mi vida. ¡Es dificil tener una conversacion unilateral!

Of course ! a simple wire can ensure continuity and will be much easier to solder than the whole grill

Also notice that replating metals implies perfect polish of the surfaces before electro bath (good luck with the grill !)

Coming back to this thread, I bought a replacement C12 basket, but the mounting holes are not drilled out on the new one, and I am having a hard time finding manual machine shops around me (In LA of all places) every search just brings up CNC and manufacturing. I dont have a drill press, and if I did I think I still lack the precision I would want with this job, anyone have any ideas for who may be able to help me in drill matching holes around the base of the basket to match the old one?
