WHY SO DIFFICULT????????

Feel free to move this to a suitable place.

I have wasted endless amounts of time trying to get access to the forum and trying to post.
The blotchy images are mostly impossible to read, some characters simply being smudges.
I have to refresh the image perhaps 10 times before I could get something that is readable.
And each time I clicked for a new image it shoots to the top of the page.
The questions “what is blah expressed as a fraction? I don’t know what these are and as for 3.14 express at two letters!!??? I had to wait two days for a friend to come around to tell me what it means .
Is there an elitist reason for making this so impossible and why, when I am already logged in do I have to go thru all that again just to post or reply? Never see this requirement on any of the dozens of forums  that I use.
There are dozens of “captcha” devices on the web that are usable, why not use one.
And forums that don’t ask questions only those well schooled in maths would know.
Please stop this! Install an easy to use one and just one question like 6x3= would surely suffice.

When googling "3.14 express at two letters", the fourth hit  is a link to the Wikipedia page describing pi.

It would have been third, but the third hit is now a link to this thread ;-)
